We’re seeking a Business Manager to support Project Managers to ensure projects stay on track and on budget. We’re a small, growing company that needs your help to add more structure and build better processes for budgets, contract renewals, and profitability. You’ll work directly with the CEO and Directors while reporting to the Director of Operations and HR.

We are considering candidates local to the Twin Cities area (preferred) as well as candidates outside the area who would work remotely. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are requiring that all staff are vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions will be made for those who cannot get vaccinated due to medical or religious reasons.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of client invoicing
  • Co-develop budgets for each division with division directors
  • Help project managers with forecasting and development of project budgets
  • Monitor billable hours
  • Flex your Microsoft Excel skills to create invoicing templates and profitability reports that are easy to read and use
  • Build tools and templates for status reporting, capacity planning, budgeting, and invoicing
  • Use your communication skills to keep everyone in the loop and make sure resources and time are well allocated and projects are staffed appropriately
  • Communicate with clients about contracts, legal requirements, invoices, and payments
  • Oversee all legal and data use agreements
  • Strive to improve our processes
  • Work with the Accounting Manager to deliver useful financial reporting
  • Dive in wherever necessary, in a small business no one is above or below any tasks

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business experience to include budgeting, forecasting, project management, capacity planning, business analysis, process development, and/or other relevant tasks
  • Microsoft Excel mastery
  • Financial reporting experience
  • Stellar communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, execute, and record
  • Lover of details and accuracy
  • Experience working in a small business is preferred
